About Me

Hi, my name is Mac, I live with my sons Walter (14), Alex (12), and Goofy (8) in Jefferson County, Mo.

This blog will most likely cover every aspect of parenting at some point in time, including but not limited to; the awesome privilege of being a mom, teenage parenting, being a grandparent, ADHD, teenage ridiculousness, ADHD, Autism, ADHD, and marriage in the chaos, and all of the wonderful moments in between.

My message to you, what I want you to walk away from every post knowing, is you are not alone.

  1. I just read one of your posts, I think it was called "Is this It?", and I can totally relate. My daughter is a single parent of a 4 yr old with autism, and she asks me that very questio n often. I'm pretty much her only support system. Unfortunately Jake does'nt have a father in his life (he's a piece of crap). So its pretty much just us.Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I really liked your honesty and it really helps to know that we are not alone in this roller coaster ride known as autism.

  2. I love and understand the lower case a for autism. My married into family is wrought with Huntington's Disease, another neurological disease, no cure and death in 20-30 years. When we want to refer to our loved one without a name, we say, my Phd... Person(upper case as they are more important than the disease) and hd. I have several Phd's in my life, some have lost their life and some are just hangin on, and some are just beginning their war against hd. I sometimes also say, "Is this all there is"?

  4. thank you for your blog. I feel less alone, especially as we do NOT have a support network of people that could help.

  5. Hey there!

My name is Ashleigh and I’m the head of community for Buzzstarter, a San Francisco-based publisher network. You can check us out at: http://partners.buzzstarter.com/

We have a live campaign, right now, for Unilever’s Best Meals Happen at Home. Our customer, Unilever, specifically requested that we reach out to publishers that we can create long term relationships with, as this campaign lasts until the end of 2015.

We will send you the piece of content, in this case a recipe, and pay you a flat rate to post. At the same time, we will use social media to drive thousands of visitors to your publication, thereby increasing exposure and fan advocacy to your site.

Would you be interested? Please let me know.

    Thanks so much,
